Trimbakeshwar Temple 2025 : Timings aarti & Offerings

Trimbakeshwar Temple is a very revered Hindu temple in India, situated at Trimbak, close to Nashik, Maharashtra. The temple is consecrated to Lord Shiva and is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas, which are revered as the most sacred dwelling places of Shiva. The temple is located on the foot of the Brahmagiri Mountain, close to the origin of the Godavari River, which is the longest river in peninsular India, running for approximately 1,465 kilometers.

The temple was constructed in the 18th century by Peshwa Balaji Baji Rao, i.e., Nana Saheb. It is designed with Maratha architecture, featuring elegant carvings and a Shiva Linga of black stone. The only distinctive feature of the Trimbakeshwar Linga is that it comprises three faces portraying Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu, and Lord Shiva, depicting the Trimurti (Holy Trinity).

Trimbakeshwar Temple is visited by millions of pilgrims annually, particularly during the Kumbh Mela, which occurs every 12 years. The temple also performs rituals such as Narayan Nagbali and Tripindi Shraddha, which are said to clear ancestral problems.

Other shrines within the temple complex are dedicated to Lord Ganesha, Goddess Parvati, and Lord Rama. Trimbakeshwar Temple is not just a religious center but also a major cultural and historical site in Maharashtra.
