Blessed with a lofty Chamundi Hill around 13 kilometers from Mysore in Karnataka, India, the Chamundeshwari Temple is one of the famous temples of Hindus all around the globe. The temple is indeed Kamakshi Peeth and Kamakshi means as Kamadevim, the goddess held as an independent deity is called Chamundeshwari or Durga. She is a patron deity of Mysuru and the state deity of Karnataka.
